The First Stages

on

The Kru Team are assembled and Kru’s safely tucked up, ready and raring to go.

Tomorrow, Kru and the team will give their first official stages a go.

The trip down was nerve-wracking, Kru was being towed by two of the team members and followed cautiously by the navigator and pit crew, occasionally checking if she was still there.  The delay on the A1 was a worry for a moment, particularly for the photographer who turned up to photograph…er… well nothing until they both arrived safe and sound a short while later.

There were a couple of fixes up to work on with Kru once we arrived so the team got their heads down and worked hard to get her ready to roll tomorrow.  She couldn’t be anymore ready and neither could the rest of the team!

A quick team bonding dinner was had at the pub and then it was back to the hotel to catch up on sleep and get ready for an early start in the morning.  First thing in the morning, as the sun rises, we head for the woods.

Recently KRU got a bit of a makeover, photos to follow but we’re thrilled to announce KRU’s Primary Sponsors; Old Spot Brewery and The George at Cullingworth.

We’re also excited to be partnering with our Official Team Sponsors; Virtual Construct, Baker, Lomax & Shackley Consultants Ltd, Electric Egg and our service providers Double Red Print.

More on those fabulous organisations to come when we officially launch our sponsors.

For now, keep an eye on our progress tomorrow.  You can follow some of our progress on our social media tomorrow.  We’re on Facebook and Twitter and we should have some great footage and photographs from our very own Electric Egg photographer Neil.

We’ll let you know how it goes, here’s to KRU and her pilots and crew!
